There’s going to be times where you’re in the situation where tracking your calories isn’t possible. This could be because the place where you’re eating hasn’t listed the calories in their food or you got that drunk where you couldn’t remember how much you ate and drank.
So what do you do in this situation to prevent setting yourself back?
Here are 3 ways to reduce the likeliness of setting yourself back when socialising.
1. Plan ahead. Make reductions in your calorie intake over the 7-10 days prior to the event (depending on how crazy you’re going to be going). If you reduce your calories by 250 a day for 10 days you’re giving your self an additional 2500 calorie on top of what you already had for that day to play with.
2. Move more. Love your scran, making reducing your food not an option? Well increase your activity levels. If you’re burning an additional 250 calories per day for 10 days you’re going to save…. You guessed it, an additional 2500 calories to play with.
3. Don’t take the piss. Try and have a little bit of self control whilst you’re out. Make lower calorie drink options, don’t order the three courses and all of the sides. Make more informed choices on the day and try and stay within your calories.
The journey to your goals shouldn’t take over your life or mean sacrificing your social life and missing birthday and other events. There are ways to still keep on track and have a good time.
